USU's Carroll Earns AP All-American Honors

For the second year in a row, Utah State's Jaycee Carroll has been named an All-American as the Associated Press announced its various team's Monday. Carroll was one of 61 student-athletes to receive All-America honors from the Associated Press and one of 47 to earn honorable mention accolades.

Utah State's Jaycee Carroll will compete in the 20th annual Three-Point Shootout in conjunction with the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas. The contest will take place at St. Mary's University on Thursday, April 3 and be televised on ESPN at 7 p.m. (MT).

Don Verlin Named Idaho Men's Basketball Coach

University of Idaho director of athletics Rob Spear confirmed Friday that Don Verlin, a long-time assistant coach at Utah State University, will be the Vandals' next men's basketball coach. Verlin will be introduced formally Monday at a 5 p.m. news conference/social at the University Inn-Best Western.

WAC Champion Boise State will travel to Birmingham, Ala. to play their first NCAA Tournament game since 1994. The No. 14 Broncos will take on No. 3 Louisville in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 21. The winner of the that game will take on the winner of the game  between No. 6 Oklahoma and No. 11 St. Joesph's on Sunday, March 23.
